Innovation of polymer nanocomposite materials

Methods of diagnostic of power transformers and insulation materials (Event–Public)

06/03/2025 - Lublin, PL

Invited experts will have lectures, seminars and meetings with students and researchers of the host partner on a selected topic which is related to the proposed project. The laboratories of each partner will be presented during the visit of the speakers. This will contribute to the distribution of specialised knowledge in the V4 countries - both in the university environment and in the industrial university environment.

Ing. Jaroslav Hornak, Ph.D. - Methodology of Research on Interactions of Novel Sustainable Polymer Insulation Materials in LV and HV DC Electric Fields.

prof. Zoltán Ádám TAMUS, Ph.D.- Analysis of space charge characteristics and trap distribution of UV aged polymer samples

prof. Ing. Miroslav Gutten, Ph.D. Lecture - Research on diagnostics of power transformers at the University of Žilina

Lecture Report

On March 6, 2025, Lublin, Poland hosted a final lecture titled "Methods of diagnostic of power transformers and insulation materials." as part of the Visegrad project. This event united experts, academics, students, and researchers to discuss the use of conventional and novel methods of diagnostics. This time focusing on methodology, space charge characteristics and power transformers.

The event featured three distinguished lecturers:

Dr. Jaroslav HORNAK, Czechia: Dr. Hornak shared insights on " Methodology of Research on Interactions of Novel Sustainable Polymer Insulation Materials in LV and HV DC Electric Fields." He discussed the role of several methods that should be used in evaluating new materials.

prof. Zoltán Ádám TAMUS, Hungary: Prof. TAMUS shared topic "Analysis of space charge characteristics and trap distribution of UV aged polymer samples". Charge is a crucial physical property of insulating materials. How it moves, how it interacts with defects in the material, and how it affects the performance of the insulation system is an important area of research.
